GIANTS engine powers Project Motor Racing in new collaboration with Straight4 Studios

GIANTS Software and Straight4 Studios have announced a long-term technical partnership that will see the GIANTS Engine, known for its use in the Farming Simulator Franchise, power the upcoming sim racing game Project Motor RacingThe release is planned for 2025. The aim of the collaboration is to provide a high-quality simulation experience.

This partnership follows the recent announcement that GIANTS Software Project Motor RacingSince 2023, the two studios have been working together to adapt the GIANTS Engine for sim racing and tune it to the specific requirements of the genre.

The GIANTS Engine was developed from scratch and saw the light of day in the first farming simulator in 2008. Since then, it has been continuously developed and used on all common platforms, so that today it easily meets the latest technical requirements for PC and console games.

Boris Stefan, CSO and Head of Publishing at GIANTS Software, expressed the company’s excitement about the partnership:

When we decided to self-publish Farming Simulator in 2021, we made no secret of the fact that we were looking for external titles that fit our vision. In Straight4 Studios we found the ideal candidate: a studio that, like us, wants to develop world-class simulations, and a new project from a top-class studio that would enrich our publishing portfolio.

Kevin Boland, CDO at Straight4, emphasized the shared values ​​and goals of the two companies:

Entering the specialized and technically demanding sim racing arena with Project Motor Racing is a testament to the versatility of the GIANTS engine. Ian Bell, CEO of Straight4 Studios, further explained the importance of this collaboration:

When developing a new generation of racing simulation games, we have to solve some difficult questions. The most important is how to balance our state-of-the-art physics engine with the graphical fidelity that our fans demand from us. With the GIANTS Engine, we have found the solution: a game engine that allows us to build a beautiful simulator while ensuring that the frame rate does not suffer.

Project Motor Racing is being developed for both PC and console platforms and is scheduled for release in 2025.
