The greatest love story never told

According to Luminate, as reported by Billboard, the documentary’s viewership on Prime Video in the U.S. jumped from just 10.7 thousand minutes on August 20, the same day Jennifer decided to file for divorce from Ben after two years of marriage. More details

Jennifer cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for her desire to end the relationship. The separation date was given as April 26.

The documentary was released on Prime Video in early February this year. The official blurb states that the documentary “follows Jennifer Lopez as she embarks on her boldest project yet: independently producing a new album and original film documenting her twenty-year journey to self-love. The intimate and empowering documentary offers unflinching access to Jennifer’s most personal moments as she works hard to reclaim her story through the creation of This Is Me… Now.”

In the documentary, Jennifer says, “I’m sure people watching from the outside were wondering, ‘What is this girl’s problem?’ I was communicating to the world, ‘Oh, that didn’t work out and it’s okay and I’m good and they’re good.’ And that all kind of sucked.”

Ben and Jennifer began dating on the set of Gigli (2003). They became engaged in 2002 and planned to marry in 2003, but split in early 2004, just four months after their planned wedding. They reunited in 2021, 17 years after their first split. The two finally married in Las Vegas on July 17, 2022.
