Keanu Reeves’ John Wick sequel series in the works

A new John Wick show, produced by Keanu Reeves, is in the works.

The series, titled “John Wick: Under The High Table,” will take place after the events of the fourth film, according to Deadline.

The site reports that it will “combine new and old, catapulting the Wick universe into a new age” as a new group of characters try to make a name for themselves while familiar faces remain loyal to the old order.

Reeves and director Chad Stahelski are on board as executive producers, but it’s unclear whether the actor will return as Wick – especially after the character was presumed dead at the end of John Wick 4.

“Under The High Table” was written by Robert Levine, who wrote shows such as “The Old Man” and “See”.

This will be the second John Wick film after last year’s The Continental, which serves as a prequel to the film series and stars Colin Woodell, Mishel Prada and Mel Gibson.

In addition, the franchise is set to expand further with a spin-off film about Donnie Yen’s Caine, which is set to begin filming next year.

“From the moment Donnie Yen appeared on screen in ‘John Wick: Chapter 4,’ he captivated audiences and created an authentic, emotional connection that left an indelible impression and left fans wanting more,” said Adam Fogelson, chairman of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, of the project.

“The John Wick universe created by Chad, Basil, Erica and Keanu features a wealth of fascinating characters brought to life by the most extraordinary performers, and we are thrilled to have one of the world’s biggest superstars on board to continue that journey.”

John Wick is also gearing up for a spin-off film called Ballerina, starring Ana de Armas, which is set to hit theaters in 2025 (after the film was delayed a year).

The John Wick Films can be purchased or rented on Prime Videoplus DVD, Blu-ray And 4K Ultra HD.
