Tesla has officially launched its highly anticipated Cybertruck in Canada, with deliveries expected between October and November 2024. As in the US, the futuristic vehicle will initially be available in two configurations, with the limited edition Foundation Series configuration also available.

Tesla sent an email to those who have made reservations for a Cybertruck on Thursday evening, according to an email and screenshots posted at Tesla North.

Below you can see full Canadian pricing for the Dual Motor and Tri Motor Cybertruck configurations, starting at $137,990 CAD. The CyberBeast starts at a whopping $165,990 CAD before taxes.

Tesla has also provided a $3,500 credit toward the purchase of the wall connector and gateway upon delivery. A non-refundable $700 reservation deposit is required to secure a Cybertruck. Prices listed do not include incentives or the estimated $7,500 in gas savings over three years.

Once customers are logged into their Tesla account, they can click on their Cybertruck reservation and then click “Start Design.” Tesla says, “Select your configuration and confirm the final price in our Design Studio. As a pre-orderer, your delivery day will be prioritized.”

You’ll have to shell out nearly $150,000 CAD for the AWD Cybertruck – before provincial and federal taxes. After 12% taxes for PST and GST in BC, the total comes to $166,755.90 USD. And that doesn’t include your insurance costs for the Cybertruck, which will probably be pretty expensive too.

If you have a lot of money, a Cyberbeast version costs a whopping $182,489.20 CAD. Luxury tax alone is $13,773.20 CAD. After GST and PST in BC? Tri Motor’s Cybertruck will cost you a whopping $204,387.90 CAD. Who needs a home these days? Just live in your Cybertruck!

Regarding the luxury tax, Tesla said it was look in to exempt the Cybertruck from tax because the truck should not be taxed because it weighs more than vehicles in the luxury tax bracket.

The cheaper RWD Cybertruck won’t arrive until 2025, so if you want to save money, keep waiting.

Tesla produces the Cybertruck at its Gigafactory in Austin, Texas. The expansion to Canada and Mexico suggests that the company is ramping up production as planned.
