CBS Sports releases tips for Iowa and Big Ten football teams’ preseason standings

The 2024 college football season officially begins Saturday morning at 11 a.m. CT on ESPN when Florida State takes on Georgia Tech in the Aer Lingus College Football Classic at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.

Fans can also watch Montana State vs. New Mexico at 3 p.m. on FS1 and SMU vs. Nevada at 7 p.m. on CBSSN. Delaware State also travels to Hawaii at 11 p.m.

Although there are no Big Ten teams playing this weekend, it won’t be long before the league’s teams are back on the field. Rutgers hosts Howard, North Carolina visits Minnesota and Eastern Illinois travels to Illinois next Thursday.

On Friday, Michigan State will face Florida Atlantic and Wisconsin will face Western Michigan.

Of course, the Iowa Hawkeyes will begin their 2024 season with a game on Saturday, August 31st at 11 a.m. on the Big Ten Network against FCS opponent Illinois State.

As the season begins, CBS Sports experts offer some final tips on preseason Big Ten rankings for Iowa and the entire league.

Spoiler alert. The experts really like Ohio State and Oregon. They also see Iowa among the top teams in the league.
