CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Austin Peay State University hosted Govs Fest at Fortera Stadium on Friday, welcoming hundreds of new students, families and fans to campus.
The event included activities such as face painting, a bungee trampoline, bounce houses, food trucks, and various vendors. New freshmen received free Buffalo Wild Wings, while all attendees had the opportunity to pick up free promotional items from the vendors.

The evening included a book signing session with Austin Peay coaches and student-athletes signing fall sports posters. The Governor’s Own Marching Band performed during the event and attendees also had the opportunity to meet the governor. Govs Fest concluded with Glowchella, a music festival-style party held on the athletic field.
APSU’s first home game of the season is scheduled for September 7th at 6 p.m. against Southern Illinois. For more information, visit the APSU athletic website.
