There are some villagers in Fields of Mistria who attract more attention than others. In addition to the butter coffee-loving blacksmith Olric, one of the sellers at the Saturday market attracts attention. Here you can find out what you need to know about the friendship with Darcy.
Disclaimer: No, Darcy is not loveable and chances are she never will be. However, since NPC Studios is so open to player feedback and so many players are asking about the possibility of having a romance with Darcy, no one can predict what might develop between the two of you in the future.
Building a relationship with Darcy might be more problematic since she’s only in town once a week, but some things are worth investing time in, right? Besides, absence makes the heart grow fonder and all. At least, even if you can never try to woo her, you can be best friends with the cafe owner, and that never hurts.
As Fields of Mistria is currently in Early Access, all villagers have some preferred gifts that are not currently available in the game, so I will skip those and instead focus on items that may and where to find them. As new items are added, I will update this guide.
Darcy’s beloved gifts in Fields of Mistria
As the owner of Mistria’s best coffee stand, Darcy has a penchant for sweets and tasty treats. Some of them are much easier to get than others, but let’s take a look at all of her favorite gifts:
Gift | How to get |
Chocolate | Can be purchased from Balor’s Wagon when available. |
Coconut milk | Processed in the mill from coconuts collected from palm trees on the beach |
Sugar | Processed in the mill from sugar cane grown from a seed in summer |
Darcy’s Favorite Gifts in Fields of Mistria
It might be a good idea to give Darcy more gifts she likes rather than ones she loves, because most of the gifts she likes can be collected at different times of the year or otherwise grown on your farm. Generally speaking, if it can be collected and then eaten, Darcy will probably like it.

What not to give Darcy in Fields of Mistria
Darcy, like all the other villagers, is not happy about the following:
- Waste products such as fibers, hay, cattails, acorns, pine cones, turf or tree resin
- Any errors
Additionally, Darcy seems particularly terrified if you try to give her an ant. I don’t know what makes this little insect different from the others, but I wouldn’t recommend giving Darcy one if you want to get close to her.
