The Big E had huge lines for the giant mozzarella sticks after the cheese treat went viral on TikTok last year.
This year, fairgoers may not have to wait in line as long, as there will be two options for the unique food.
The giant mozzarella stick from Angela’s Pizza on Commonwealth Ave. was nothing new in 2023. However, it found its way into many people’s TikTok videos, often showing a cheesy slice from the giant mozzarella stick.
“It’s just as delicious as a regular mozzarella stick, but the cheese flavor has taken on a whole new, crazy level,” wrote MassLive’s Nick O’Malley in 2022, naming it one of the 10 best dishes to try on your first visit to The Big E.
The other new option will be Hot Wisconsin Cheese on Springfield Road.
The name will be “The Big Mozz” and it will be a single piece of hand-cut mozzarella cheese that is fried on a stick.
“Crispy on the outside and soft and sticky on the inside,” says a press release.
Other new food items offered at The Big E this year include a maple syrup and bacon cupcake, pickle fries, a new Craz-E burger, margaritas with cotton candy on top, and deviled eggs.

The Big E returns to West Springfield on September 13th and runs through September 29th.
