But now, Dua Lipa is continuing the tradition with a FOMO-worthy celebration in a tropical location. Instead of wearing a stunning Regency-era dress to her party, however, the “Levitating” singer kept it casual with a sparkly sheer top and a statement bikini. Dua Lipa has never seen a string bikini she didn’t like, so it’s only fitting that the pop star wore her signature swimsuit while celebrating her 29th birthday on August 22. After all, it’s her Birthday – she can wear whatever she wants.
Lipa celebrated her special day on Instagram with a series of photos and videos in which the artist posed with a bunch of pink and red balloons while wearing a bright orange Gucci bikini. The swimsuit was subtly printed with the brand’s signature double G logo and featured a matching double G metal detail on both pieces.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Leo birthday without a little ~flair~. To complete the look, Lipa wore a rhinestone-encrusted sheer top that sparkled in the sun and accessorized with a stunning chunky gold necklace. You know, beachy stuff.
A birthday tradition
Although birthdays often bring about changes, Dua Lipa’s commitment to celebrating her special day in a bikini top has remained unchanged over the years. It all started in 2022 when the Argyll The actress wore a dazzling rhinestone bra by Marc Jacobs, a white canvas maxi skirt and huge platform boots as she celebrated her 27th birthday.
In 2023, Lipa celebrated her 28th birthday in yet another Gucci bra top, teamed with a red sheer bolero, purple cargo pants, and an impressive stack of choker necklaces. The photos have since been deleted from her Instagram, but her legacy as the undisputed bikini queen will live on forever.
