Happy birthday, Zuma! Former The voice Coach Gwen Stefani’s middle son just turned 16, and the proud mom celebrated him online with a slew of adorable throwback photos showcasing their similar personalities as well as his special bond with his stepdad, Blake Shelton.
Gwen Stefani’s son Zuma turns 16
Stefani, who has three children with her ex Gavin Rossdale (Apollo is 18 and Kingston is 10), doesn’t usually wear glasses when performing. However, in the photo montage she posted, she and Zuma are wearing similar frames and their platinum blonde hair and big smiles are almost identical.

In fact, Stefani’s eyewear collection was partly inspired by her son’s love of the accessory: they collaborated on a collection in 2019. “When you go out and buy boys’ glasses, they’re all the same,” Stefani said People“Zuma is a bit more boyish and doesn’t care so much about style. But with the glasses he does it because it’s something he identifies with.”
“He wants everyone to watch him and he’s a goofball and really silly,” the singer continued. “He’s a funny guy.”

Zuma Rossdale’s special connection to Blake Shelton
In the second half of the video you can see Zuma and Shelton, also a former The voice Coach, we bond over music and another shared accessory: cowboy hats.
In the photo of the two posing together in a restaurant, it is noticeable that Shelton’s phone lock screen features a picture of brunette teenager Stefani. Adorable.
Zuma has also imitated his mother and stepfather’s love of music. He sings and plays guitar at home. In fact, Stefani’s two older sons have performed at Shelton’s Oklahoma bar, Ole Red.

In an interview with AccessShelton revealed that spending more time with his stepchildren was one of the reasons he separated from The voice.
“I think my mindset as a stepfather has changed because I’m not the first person I think of anymore,” he said. “Even the little things, when you think, ‘I think I’ll do this,’ the next thought is always, ‘Wait a minute. How’s this going?’ Or ‘What will they think?’ Or ‘How will this affect the schedule?'”
