High pressure will be the dominant force over the next few days, bringing a period of fine weather across the Southern Tier. Lows will fall to above 7 degrees tonight under mostly clear skies. There will be patchy fog, especially in the valley areas.
Friday will be a fantastic end to the week as we expect mostly sunny skies and highs of around 24 degrees. There will be some clouds overnight into Friday but it will remain dry. Lows will be around 10 degrees.
The weekend will be the best in a long time as there will be plenty of sunshine. Highs will be between 25 and 27 degrees on both days. Lows will be 15 degrees on both nights. There is a slight chance of rain on Sunday but if there is any it will be short-lived.
Monday and Tuesday will continue the weekend’s trend, with plenty of sunshine and only a small chance of rain. Highs will be just over 27 degrees. On Wednesday, a weak front will move through the region, which may bring a few isolated showers or thunderstorms, but most of the day will remain dry, with highs around 25 degrees. On Thursday, highs around 25 degrees and a mix of sun and clouds are expected.
