SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The Big West has announced the upcoming men’s basketball conference schedule for the 2024-25 season. The schedule includes 20 games that will see the UC Santa Barbara basketball team play every team in the Big West at the Thunderdome and away.
The season begins with the first B0ld Week, with the Gauchos playing at home against UC San Diego on Dec. 5 before traveling to UC Davis on Dec. 7. UC Santa Barbara returns to nonconference play for a few more weeks before resuming the Big West schedule on Jan. 2 and ringing in the new year in Hawaii.
Once the Gauchos are back from Honolulu, they will return to the Thunderdome on Jan. 9 to face Cal State Bakersfield before heading to Cal Poly on Jan. 11 for the first leg of the blue-green rivalry. The blue and gold will then play their first full weekend at the Thunderdome, where they will face UC Riverside and UC Davis on Jan. 16 and 18. After that, the Gauchos will play two away games at UC San Diego and Cal State Fullerton on Jan. 23 and 25 before returning home to face CSUN and Long Beach State on Jan. 30 and Feb. 1.
On the first full weekend of February, the Gauchos head to Bakersfield to face the Roadrunners on February 6 before returning to Santa Barbara to face the Rainbow Warriors on Saturday, February 8. From there, UC Santa Barbara will hit the road again, stopping at the Bren Center on February 13 to face UC Irvine before heading to UC Riverside on February 15 to face the Highlanders. The Blue and Gold will return to the Thunderdome on February 20 to face Cal State Fullerton before heading to the Pyramid to face Long Beach State on February 22.
The Gauchos will play their final three games of the season, taking on Cal Poly at the Thunderdome on February 27 before traveling to Northridge to face the Matadors on March 1. UC Santa Barbara will then begin its final week of Big West play, with a bye on March 6 before playing at home against UC Irvine on March 8.
Times for these games, as well as the non-conference schedule and tickets, will be announced in the coming weeks.
