OpenAI partners with global magazine brand Condé Nast to enable publishing of its content in ChatGPT.

The technology giant has announced a partnership with the publisher, which is responsible for Vogue, The New Yorker and GQ, among others, to enable ChatGGPT and its search engine SearchGPT to display the magazine content.

In a statement, Brad Lightcap, COO of OpenAI, said: “We are committed to working with Condé Nast and other news publishers to ensure that even as AI plays a larger role in news discovery and delivery, it maintains accuracy, integrity and respect for high-quality reporting.”

The rise of social media and digital platforms has impacted the business models of many media companies.

Roger Lynch, CEO of Condé Nast, added: “Our partnership with OpenAI begins to offset some of that revenue so we can continue to protect and invest in our journalism and creative endeavors.”

Other publications that have partnered with OpenAI include the Financial Times, Associated Press and Time magazine, while others such as the New York Times and Chicago Tribute have opposed the developments.

Technology companies want to use content-producing media organizations to train their respected artificial intelligence models.
