As part of today’s Gamescom festivities, a release date for Bloomtown: A Different Story was announced. Those looking to purchase it on Switch will be able to do so starting September 24, 2024.
It’s been a little over a year since we first reported on Bloomtown: A Different Story. The game was originally scheduled for release in Q2 2024, but has been delayed a bit and will now launch next month.
Bloomtown: A Different Story is a narrative JRPG that combines turn-based combat, monster taming, and social role-playing in a seemingly pleasant 1960s American world.
Play as Emily and her younger brother Chester, who are sent for summer vacation to their grandfather’s cozy and quiet town. Maybe it’s too quiet… Children start disappearing, nightmares become more and more real… Something is wrong, especially for a 12-year-old girl with an adventurous spirit! It’s up to you to solve this mystery and save Bloomtown and its residents from a grim fate!
Bloomtown is a quiet and cozy American town with a cinema, grocery stores, library, parks… But that’s just a facade! Beneath the surface, a world of demons is growing, children are disappearing and it’s up to you to save the town!
Embark on a mysterious adventure to save the townspeople from their own demons: fear and vice have taken on monstrous forms in the underworld. Follow Emily and her group of friends, solve the mystery of the mystical disappearances and save the souls of the residents of Bloomtown!
In turn-based tactical battles against giant demons and dungeon bosses from the underworld, Emily is not alone! Use each character’s skills and strengths to emerge victorious. Summon your own inner demons as well as those you’ve captured to create devastating combos.
Capture weakened creatures during battle to add them. With many unique creatures and a deep fuse system, create hundreds of synergies and your own demon hunting party.
Time flies in Bloomtown and cannot be stopped. Explore the city’s secret areas, improve your physical skills in the gym, earn pocket money at the supermarket, make resourceful friends or relax by doing gardening. You decide what is most useful for your adventure.
