Hosted by Rob Lowe, the documentary delves into the minds of dogs and reveals, as the film’s logline states, “what they think, why they do what they do, and whether they really ‘love’ us as much as we love them.”
According to Netflix In the head of a dog debuted at No. 6 on the streamer’s Global Top 10 Movies chart for the week of August 12-18 with 5 million views, equivalent to 6.2 million hours watched, in its first week of release.
The streamer noticed that In the head of a dog also entered Netflix’s US Top 10 movie charts at number 6 and landed in the top 10 in 25 other countries.
In its first week of release, the action comedy starring Halle Berry and Mark Wahlberg landed at number 1 on Netflix’s list of the 10 best films worldwide. The Union. Also starring Mike Colter, JK Simmons and Jackie Earle Haley, The Union was viewed 33.1 million times, corresponding to 60.1 million hours of playback.
The Union was also the #1 movie on Netflix in the US and 92 other countries worldwide.
Two “Kingsman” films in Netflix’s global top 5
In second place on Netflix’s top 10 film list for the week of August 12-18 is the 2014 action comedy “The 40 Years of the Year.” Kingsman: The Secret Service (15.2 million views/33 million hours watched) followed by the 2017 sequel Kingsman: The Golden Circlee (9.6 million views/22.8 million viewing hours) in third place.
Both Kingman Films have been in the streamer’s global top 10 for two weeks.
The animated family comedy from 2017 Emoji – The Movie debuted in the global top 10 at number 4 with 7.7 million views, equivalent to 11.2 million hours watched.
The 2024 animated family comedy that originally debuted on Netflix Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie (6.2 million views/9 million hours watched) completed Netflix’s global top 5.
Followed In the head of a dog The 2018 comedy by Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish lands in 7th place Evening school (4.9 million views/9 million watch hours).
The animated family comedy from 2017 Ferdinand (4.8 million views/8.8 million hours watched) landed at No. 8 on the charts in its second week, while the 2022 action thriller Ambulance (4.1 million views/9.3 million hours watched) debuted at number 9.
The animated family comedy Trolls join forces (3.2 million views/4.9 million watch hours) completed the worldwide top 10 in its fifth week on the charts.
