Shares of Macy’s, Inc. M fell sharply in premarket trading today after reporting weak second-quarter sales results.
Macy’s reported quarterly earnings of 53 cents per share, beating analysts’ consensus estimate of 29 cents per share. The company reported quarterly revenue of $4.937 billion, below analysts’ consensus estimate of $5.118 billion.
Macy’s shares fell 9.4% to $16.08 in premarket trading.
