Alicia Silverstone has assured that she is “alive and well” after apparently eating a possibly poisonous fruit.
The “Clueless” actress posted a video on Instagram on Monday in which she bites into a small orange berry that she picked from a random garden during a visit to England.
However, followers were quick to point out that Alicia had tried a Jerusalem cherry, also called a Christmas cherry, which can be poisonous.
Concerned about her health, the star logged back into her account on Tuesday to reassure everyone that she was fine.
“Alive and well! Don’t worry…I didn’t swallow,” she explained, adding a winking emoji.
Many of Alicia’s followers then urged her to be more cautious.
“For someone who is so careful about their diet, you broke rule number one: NEVER EAT ANYTHING GROWING THAT YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT IT IS!!,” one user wrote, while another added, “I came here for that validation. I’m glad you’re healthy!”
In her original video, Alicia asked people to help her identify the fruit, saying she thought it might be some type of tomato.
“It’s almost like a pepper. Does anyone know what this is? I don’t know what it is. Someone has to tell me,” she pleaded, captioning the clip: “What the f*** is this? I’m in England and I can’t figure it out.”
