A motorcyclist was briefly trapped under a semi-trailer truck at the end of a three-vehicle collision on Freeway 15 in Temecula on Tuesday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident was reported around 4:45 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the freeway near the Temecula Parkway on-ramp.
Officials say the motorcyclist was crossing lanes, possibly to exit the highway, when he struck the semi and went underneath it. At the same time, a GMC pickup truck also collided with the semi.
Several Good Samaritans stopped to help the motorcyclist and pull him out from under the tractor-trailer, police said.
He refused transport by Riverside County Fire Department paramedics to a nearby hospital, even though his injuries were considered minor, officials said.
Neither the pickup truck driver nor the semi-trailer driver were injured.
The northbound slow lane was closed for a time during the CHP investigation, but has since reopened.
