Those wishing to travel internationally must book and confirm their flight 10 days prior to departure.

In addition, all flights must be booked through the airline’s official website. For each flight booked, the pass holder must pay $0.01 airfare plus any applicable fees or taxes.

Please note that the pass only entitles the passenger to the seat. Standard fees will still apply for baggage check-in, seat selection and other additional services.

Seats available for pass holders are subject to capacity control, meaning pass holders will be offered limited seating on a first come, first served basis.

Revision of the fleet plan

Airlines typically forecast their future needs and plan ahead when it comes to aircraft orders and deliveries. Frontier Airlines has 198 of the Airbus A320neo Family aircraft have been ordered and their delivery is planned by 2029.

The airline decided earlier this month to postpone the delivery of some of these aircraft, which will push the completion of delivery from 2029 to 2031. In addition, the airline has also extended its order for 18 Airbus A321XLR s and converted 18 of its A320neo aircraft to A321neo. Overall, this would mean that the airline will deliver fewer aircraft in the following years.

Although the A321XLR received its certification from EASA last month, the airline justified the cancellation of its order by citing that the aircraft did not meet the airline’s expectations in terms of operational performance and range. However, Frontier also states that the airline will reconsider the aircraft and the operations the type would enable should this change in the future.
