Out of Star Elizabeth Saunders has opened up about Donna’s story in Season 3, giving a taste of what’s next for her and the pain she carries after spending so long in the city. Donna is the leader of the Colony House, which has faced numerous threats from the creatures in the city since the series began. Out of Season 2 ended with her overseeing the wedding of Ellis and Fatima while also worrying about the safety of her people. As a leader, she is expected to face any future obstacles that come their way in the upcoming season.

Talk to Radio timesSaunders, who plays Donna, spoke about her story in Out of Season 3, and explains the level of pain she will have to deal with in the new episodes. The actress revealed how her character would break down in a way never seen before, hinting that events in the town would make things increasingly difficult as the series progresses. Check out what Saunders had to say below:

Donna needs to get her act together, not just from the Colony House perspective, but she needs to sit back a little bit, but maybe implode a little bit too. She has some breakdowns on a different level. They’re not on the (angry) level. They’re really painful for her. (Donna’s journey) is already at such a high point when we get to Season 1 of the show (but) I feel like it’s getting tighter and tighter, like the grip on her – on everyone – is getting tighter.

What will happen to Donna in season 3?

Will she survive?

Elizabeth Saunders as Donna Raines in From.

Although Out of Season 3 still maintains much of its mystery, a key element being the onset of winter in the town, a phenomenon seemingly alien to the town. With food in short supply and people turning to her for answers, Donna needs to take on a stronger leadership role to get her people through the difficult times ahead. But this newfound sense of responsibility also means more pressure, which no doubt makes her feel more alone in her struggles than ever before.

Despite the dangers their new circumstances bring, the people of the town are likely to stick together more than ever, perhaps with a renewed eagerness to escape. While Donna may initially feel under pressure as conditions begin to deteriorate, Helping hands like Boyd and Jim can support her in difficult times. While the show still has plenty of surprises in store for her, it seems likely that Donna will continue to be the face of Colony House as events get stranger and wilder.
