Green Leaf Wellness Pharmacy Comes to Williamstown at Popular Junction

Green Leaf Wellness Pharmacy Comes to Williamstown at Popular Junction

Reading time: 3 Minutes

Green Leaf Wellness Pharmacy is coming to Williamstown, New Jersey, at the busy intersection of Black Horse Pike and Sicklerville Road.

The Green Leaf Wellness Pharmacy site was previously home to several auto-related businesses and is located at a prime intersection next to McDonald’s (and across from Geets Diner).

Many long-time locals remember the corner lot as the original home of “A-Jacks Towing” and naturally refer to the property by that name in their posts and questions to me. (A-Jack’s Towing is still operating successfully, but at a different location on Tuckahoe Road)

Green Leaf Wellness Dispensary comes to Williamstown and renovates a former auto shop building

Earlier this year, a construction fence was erected around the “under construction” site and cleanup work was carried out on the building. Combined with its location at Williamstown’s main intersection, the building attracted a lot of attention from local residents and 42Freeway readers.

And when my news feed lit up earlier this year because readers were asking about it, I literally had no idea what was coming!

Somehow I had missed the Monroe Township Planning Board meeting in the fall. I even went so far as to go to the county offices where a staff member told me a dispensary was coming, but I didn’t know who…or what the plans were for the property, such as: is it a completely new build or would they reuse the existing building?!

The planning committee minutes were released earlier this year and I recently found the Green Leaf Wellness Dispensary website. Yesterday I had the opportunity to speak with a member of the management team.

Green Leaf Wellness – Williamstown

Green Leaf Wellness was founded by a group of childhood friends who grew up in an entrepreneurial environment where all families were independent business owners.

The friends had been talking about starting a business together for years, and when cannabis legalization was approved in New Jersey, they all decided that this was the line of business they wanted to be in.

The new pharmacy is a certified woman-owned business, and the lifelong friends, who each had their own success as adults, have pooled their talents to form the entire management team.

Known locally as the original A-Jacks towing business, this Williamstown, NJ property is being completely remodeled and expanded into the Green Leaf Dispensary.

One of the big questions for locals is: “Will the building be demolished or put to another use?

Green Leaf will utilize the existing building and, of course, completely remodel the space… and add a 56.5 square meter extension to the rear.

If you look at the renderings provided, you can still see the original core structure of the former A-Jacks towing building, albeit in a beautifully rehabilitated building. The front corner entry door will remain (but will be widened) and the garage spaces will be converted to large, floor-to-ceiling windows.

The facility will offer 34 parking spaces and have multiple access roads from South Black Horse Pike, Sicklerville Road and Rutgers Rd.

A former car dealership in Williamstown is being converted into the Green Leaf Wellness Pharmacy.

Sidewalks are planned along the three main streets: Rutgers, Sicklerville and Black Horse Pike.

The property will have a full security system and on-site security personnel, with a total staff of approximately 12 expected.

As for the opening date, the website currently lists summer 2024 as the expected opening timeframe, but in my conversation with the management team yesterday, I was told they are now targeting a spring 2025 opening.
