Big Red appoints Brandon Bradley as Chief Operating Officer

HASTINGS, Nebraska (Nebraska Athletics) – The Nebraska wrestling team has hired Brandon Bradley as its director of operations for the 2024-25 season. Bradley comes to the Huskers after spending the last 14 years as a wrestling coach, including the last nine as head coach at Nebraska Wesleyan University. Bradley has been involved in the wrestling world for over 20 years and was a two-time program starter. Now he brings his operations experience to the Big Red.

“We welcome Brandon and his family to our Nebraska wrestling program,” said head coach Mark Manning. “Brandon has done a great job at Nebraska Wesleyan over the past nine years, and that experience coupled with Brandon’s work ethic make him a great addition to our program.”

Bradley relaunched the Prairie Wolves wrestling program in the fall of 2015 and coached one NCAA All-American and four Academic All-Americans. Prior to Wesleyan, Bradley was the head assistant coach at Ferrum College for two seasons. At Ferrum, he helped launch the college’s new DIII wrestling program and coached a national qualifier.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to work with the team and join a national power program with so much history and success,” Bradley said. “As a former wrestler and coach, I look forward to doing my part to move the program forward and excel in any way I can.”

Bradley was a four-year starter in the 135-pound division at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and began his coaching career as an assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2010. In three seasons, UWW finished third in the 2013 NCAA DIII tournament, with six wrestlers earning All-America honors.

Originally from Richmond, Virginia, Bradley earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 2010 and his master’s degree in health, human performance and recreation from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2013. Brandon and his wife, Shavon Bradley, live in Lincoln.
