Deadpool & Wolverine concept art reveals Wolverinepool variant – Comic book adaptations and news about superhero films

Deadpool and Wolverine Concept art shows an unused Wolverinepool variant of the character.

Deadpool & Wolverine hit US theaters in July 2024. Directed by Shawn Levy, the Marvel Studios film stars Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, and more.

On Instagram, concept artist David Masson showed unused concept art with an alternate cover of Wolverinepool.

Masson wrote: “We’ll start with Wolverinepool! Or Wolverpool, Deadverine? One of the variants that unfortunately didn’t make the cut. Costume Designer (Mayes Rubeo)/ More to come!”

What is Deadpool & Wolverine about?

“Six years after the events of Deadpool 2, Wade Wilson is retired as the mercenary Deadpool and living a quiet life until the Time Variance Authority (TVA) – a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space and oversees the timeline – draws him into a new mission,” the film’s official synopsis reads. “With his home universe facing an existential threat, Wilson reluctantly joins an even more reluctant Wolverine on a mission that will change the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).”

“Deadpool & Wolverine,” a sequel to 2016’s “Deadpool” and 2018’s “Deadpool 2,” was written by Levy, Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick and Zeb Wells.

In addition to Jackman and Wells, the Marvel film stars Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa Carlysle, Rob Delaney as Peter Wisdom, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Aaron Stanford as John Allerdyce/Pyro, Matthew Macfadyen as Mr. Paradox, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, Stefan Kapićić as Colossus, Lewis Tan as Shattersstar, Tyler Mane as Sabretooth and others.

As of August 18, 2024, Deadpool & Wolverine has grossed approximately $545.8 billion in the United States, with a worldwide total of approximately $1.143 billion. It is the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time.

Deadpool & Wolverine is currently in US theaters.
