LeBron James, notorious for bad eating habits, trains like a rookie in the offseason: “As if he’s trying to make the team”

LeBron James may have a penchant for sweets, but that has never stopped the legendary veteran from stepping out on the court and dunking the next opponent. Yes, he is a “Generation Talent”, He is the “Chosen One”, but that didn’t mean he didn’t put in the work. In fact, Bron spends over $1.5 million on taking care of his body alone. From cryo chambers to personalized diets to in-house massages, the ‘King’ shows his body the greatest respect.

And we can see the result today – longevity and peak performance from a man approaching 40! Now we have further proof from a former teammate of the 4-time champion of how much work he puts in to stay in shape.

Quinn Cook, the Duke graduate who went undrafted in 2015 and still managed to make short stints with major NBA heavyweights like the Warriors and Lakers, told a pretty wild story about our man of the hour. Popular YouTuber Sam Okauru on his Jefe Island channel, had the 2x champion over for a quick chat. And the story Cook had for us is, in one word, wild.

“I hear something like a grunt, someone is training. I’m not familiar with the facility yet and I went the wrong way. So the coach says, ‘If you want to go back to the court, go that way.’ When I turn left again to get to the court, we have to go to the weight room. LeBron is all sweaty! Soaked! Training is at 10 a.m. I got there at 7:00 a.m. I ate something for 15 minutes. It was probably 7:18, 7:20. (But) Bron is (already) in there sweating afterwards.”

“And this is Bron in 2015, about 4 MVPs and 2 rings later! He is still working as if he is trying to get into the teamlike me. It just opened my eyes, brother, and I had a different respect. These things don’t happen by accident. Obviously these guys are players of a generation. They are gifts from God. They are just different, but they work for it too.”

The 6’2″ point guard, as mentioned above, went undrafted in 2015, so he obviously had a reason to get up so early and put in the extra work. However, as he pointed out, LeBron James had already done more than enough to silence any skeptics and live up to the hype that was created around him out of high school. So seeing such a legend train like he doesn’t yet have a firm place in the NBA can definitely be eye-opening, to say the least.

But remember what another teammate of the Akron hero had to say about his eating habits?

Former Cavs teammate once revealed the hilarious side of Bron’s “diet”

While it’s true that when James is fully focused, no one can disturb or interrupt his concentration, but his penchant for sweets may turn out to be the villain. Or maybe not. Because according to Tristan Thompson, it doesn’t matter if he eats a stack of sweets, LeBron James could still shell out £20 every night! Having spent time with the “Akron Hammer” during his second tenure with the Cavaliers, Thompson had the advantage of being able to observe the local hero in all his glory.

Although we don’t know the NBA’s top scorer’s diet routine word for word, he has given several glimpses into his diet. For example, he avoids dairy and sugar when he’s on a diet and instead opts for healthy foods like meat, fruits, vegetables and fish. James also prefers a high-carb diet before training – whole wheat pasta, some vegetables and a side salad.

Thompson, however, would disagree. “He has the worst diet ever” the 2016 NBA champion once revealed in an interview. And why would he say that? Apparently his breakfast consisted of 5 French toasts with lots of syrup, strawberries and bananas, followed by a 4-egg omelette before he went out and covered someone! In fact, the 33-year-old said that King James likes to eat dessert after every meal. When I observed him, Thompson followed the same routine for a while until he stopped.

Well, rather, he was forced to stop because his body simply couldn’t handle the effects of all the sugar as well as Bron’s. “He really is a magnificent specimen,” “Tristan added. We all agree on that, right?”
