Chicago Bears 2024 season predictions: Are 11 wins realistic?

Chicago Bears 2024 season predictions: Are 11 wins realistic?

It’s an exciting time to be a football fan in the Windy City. Ryan Poles has built the foundation for a team that could be at Super Bowl level in a few years, and this season is the beginning of it all. Many people think the Bears are overrated, while others think they don’t get the recognition they deserve on paper. Today we’ll break the season down into four blocks and predict the team’s final record in January.

Caleb Williams’ all-time best throws in Week 2 of the Chicago Bears’ preseason!

Ben Johnson will be head coach of the Chicago Bears in 2025

BLOCK 1: Week 1-4

Opponents: Titans, Texans, Colts, Rams

Record: 2-2

This will be a great way to test Caleb Williams and the Bears’ new offense right away. All four teams will present a formidable challenge for a unit in its first year together and allow them to gel together faster. I think the Bears can handle the Titans and Colts and get wins in the odd weeks, but I don’t think we can beat the Texans, that’s how dangerous they are. The Rams game is a real toe-to-toe as everyone is wondering what their team will look like this year, but I think their experience and dynamic weapons on both sides of the ball will be a bit much for a younger Bears team. Chicago will start the year with a .500 record and go into the next stretch with a lot to prove.

BLOCK 2: Week 5-9 (BYE)

Opponents: Panthers, Jaguars, BYE, Commanders, Cardinals

Record: 4-0

This is the block that will show the world that the Monsters of the Midway mean business. Honestly, the Bears are so much better than the Panthers, Commanders, and Cardinals. They may not be championship contenders yet, but Chicago is definitely a step above those three teams. Our defense should have no trouble keeping Bryce Young, Jayden Daniels, and a lackluster Cardinals offense in check. The Jaguars, on the other hand, will certainly be a worthy challenge, but I think at this point in the year, the Bears will operate smoothly and be able to overcome anything Jacksonville has to offer. Chicago will most likely be in first place in the NFC North and look fantastic.

Total: 6-2

BLOCK 3: Week 10-13

Opponents: Patriots, Packers, Vikings, Lions

Record: 2-2

Block 3 offers a first look at the Bears’ division rivals. Before we get to the NFC North games, the Bears should pick up another win against a rebuilding Patriots team in Week 10. As for division games, I think the Bears will lose their first games against the Packers and Lions and beat the Vikings. The Packers and Lions are better teams than us right now and will probably outmatch us.

Total: 8-4

BLOCK 4 (FINAL TRACK): Week 14-18

Opponents: 49ers, Vikings, Lions, Seahawks, Packers

Record: 3-2

As the season nears its final stretch, I think the Bears will avenge their losses to the Packers and Lions and sweep the Vikings. The Seahawks and 49ers are better teams than us and will give us a real challenge in five straight weeks of competitive football.

Total: 11-6
