Kamala Harris: “Eat a bag of Doritos?”: Elisabeth Hasselbeck is reprimanded for her criticism of Kamala Harris

Vice President Kamala Harris said she ate a family-sized bag of Nacho Doritos on the night of the 2016 election. “I didn’t share a chip with anyone. Not even Doug. I just watched TV in utter shock and dismay,” Kamala Harris wrote in a fundraising email, sparking a new debate about whether a world leader should binge eat to get through an emotional crisis. “When I took the stage for my acceptance speech – to represent California in the Senate – I ripped up my notes. I just said, ‘We will fight.’ Eight years later, two things are true: I still love Doritos and we still haven’t stopped fighting,” Kamala Harris wrote.
TV personality and former The View host Elisabeth Hasselbeck on Fox News that it was all about showing American voters that she was very approachable, but binge eating could not be the commander in chief’s emotional response. “Can you imagine Putin, how he deals with things,” she said.

“You just talked about Kamala Harris allegedly eating a bag of Doritos and you were so emotionally charged after hearing that,” Hasselbeck said of Harris’ story. “That’s possibly the emotional reaction of the commander in chief, that’s the emotional reaction of the leader of the free world to gobble down a bag of Doritos? Are you kidding me?”
“Can you imagine how Putin handles things? How he drinks a bag of Sour Patch Kids because he’s depressed because something isn’t going his way? Or how (Qasem) Soleimani did it, he drank Funyuns?” Hasselback said.
“I doubt that’s the actual reaction of an elite leader,” Hasselbeck added. “Whether you agree with what they’re saying or not.”
Many social media users said they understood Kamala Harris’ feelings and at least she did not try to overthrow the government like Trump did in 2020. “Yes, she ate a bag of Doritos, accepted the results and then moved on. She did not try to overthrow the government or spend the next four years claiming the election was stolen,” one user wrote.
