“I love my MacBook Pro.
I use it for pretty much everything.
It’s my creative superpower.”

Suwara Sumettavanich has been involved in art for most of her life. Born into a family of healthcare professionals who work long hours, she passed the time by drawing. Now she wants to create beautiful designs to bring joy to those around her. “When people see beautiful art, it makes them happy. It’s very important to me to evoke those emotions.”

She is currently in her third year at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, studying to turn her passion for graphic design and multimedia into an impactful career.

Ideas come to her in parks, cafes – anywhere, anytime, says Suwara. Voice memos on her iPhone help her capture her thoughts. Later, she sketches her ideas with Apple Pencil on her iPad and creates the final compositions with Adobe Creative Suite on her MacBook.

“I love bringing my ideas to life with my MacBook. And I store my work securely in iCloud so I can access my creations anytime.”

Cross-departmental collaboration is a key part of Suwara’s program, where she challenges herself to adapt her work to the world of film and music. “We use Keynote and Pages to work together on group media projects, then edit in Final Cut Pro. These tools allow us to easily add notes, images and transitions that really bring our projects to life.”

While Suwara hopes to start working at a creative agency after graduation, she is also interested in philosophy and metaethics, which has broadened her perspective on beauty.

“For me, creativity means expressing yourself freely and not worrying about what others think. Apple tools help me do that.”
