Storm The next adventure series could go in a scary direction. The storylines of Storm tend more towards a science fiction direction. There is not just one science for the X-Men franchise as a whole, but also because her more recent stories as ruler of Mars are deeply rooted in science fiction. It’s rare for Storm’s storylines to cross over into other genres.
That will soon change, if you believe a recent post by artist Mateus Manhanini on X. The post reveals the cover that Manhanini created for Storm #2 by Murewa Ayodele and Lucas Werneck. The corresponding image can be found below. The publication of the issue itself is currently scheduled for November 6, 2024.
The cover shows the real goddess of thunder (according to Thor), trapped underwater in a kind of glass case, surrounded by snakes, spiders and millipedes. The atmosphere is unusually supernatural and gives an idea of what stories await Storm in her ongoing series.especially when the film summaries hint at the return of Doctor Voodoo.

The Storm The solo series is scheduled to hit shelves on October 2, 2024. The second issue, due out a month later, includes a promotional synopsis that promises:
STORM is dying! An unknown form of radiation poisoning from the OKLAHOMA INCIDENT has turned her cells into ticking time bombs. As her final hours are counted down, will she find a cure for her illness at NIGHT NURSE’s new superhero hospital, or will she need magic spells from DOCTOR VOODOO to save her life?
Readers will have to wait until the first issue to better understand the nature of that Oklahoma incident alluded to in the synopsis, but it’s obvious that Storm is sick. Whatever is killing her, it’s going to require the resources of Night Nurse’s superhero hospital or other types of enhancements from Doctor Voodoo to save her life.
For those who don’t know the name Doctor Voodoo, it refers to a certain Jericho Drumm, who was originally known as Brother Voodoo. His doctorate was added when His mastery of the arts and sorcery earned him the position of Supreme Sorcerer. He succeeded Doctor Strange in the role during Brian Michael Bendis’ New Avengersback when Stephen was removed from office. Doctor Voodoo is a great choice to guide Storm through her supernatural ordeal, but can she handle the darkness that this path could bring?
Can Storm handle the supernatural?
Is this a trip from which she could return?
Delving into the supernatural seems to be preparing Storm for a path into the horror genre, which could mean something new for the Omega-level mutant. At the same time, it puts Storm out of her element (no pun intended) in more ways than one. Being surprised by something new can throw even an Omega-level mutant off guard. There’s no guarantee Storm will come back from this, at least not on her own. Whether Night Nurse or Doctor Voodoo are to blame, Storm She will need all the help she can get to get out alive.
