Crosslake Art Club works on display in Aitkin – Pine and Lakes Echo Journal

AITKIN – The Jaques Art Center in Aitkin will present the diverse artwork of the Crosslake Art Club from August 23 to October 12.

The club has been in existence for 40 years and meets the first Monday of every month at the Crosslake Community Center. It has a large membership of 62 diverse artists working in both 2D and 3D media.

At Jaques, artists showcase subjects of all kinds, including landscapes, wildlife, portraits and abstraction in various media such as watercolor, oil, acrylic and mixed media. The 2D artists present turned wooden bowls and hand-thrown ceramic pieces.

Meet club members at the show opening on Saturday, August 24th from noon to 3 p.m. at the Jaques Art Center in Aitkin.
