Alaska Airlines and STARLUX launch nonstop flight Seattle-Taipei

‍DALLAS — Alaska Airlines (AS) announced a new partnership with STARLUX Airlines (JX), which has launched its first nonstop flights between Seattle (SEA) and Taipei (TPE). This new service, offered three times weekly, is JX’s third nonstop U.S. destination from Taipei.

The luxury airline offers a premium flight experience with first-class service and amenities. Passengers can book these flights directly through alaskaair.com, which also has a codeshare agreement to improve connectivity. Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan members can earn and redeem miles on JX flights, providing added value for frequent flyers.

Brett Catlin, Alaska Airlines’ vice president of loyalty, alliances and sales, emphasized the importance of this new route. “STARLUX offers exceptional in-flight service and access to numerous Asian destinations. With this new service, Seattle is now home to 13 global partners and offers extensive flight options and destinations from our home base.”

The new flights will arrive in Taipei early in the morning to provide easier connection to other Asian destinations and return to Seattle in the afternoon. STARLUX CEO Glenn Chai emphasized the importance of Seattle to the company’s expansion strategy, calling the city a key gateway for passengers from over 100 U.S. cities to the Asia-Pacific region.

Since opening its first transpacific route to Los Angeles in April 2023, JX has also added San Francisco to its network. Flights to Seattle will be operated on JX’s Airbus A350, which offers four cabin classes: First, Business, Premium Economy and Economy. Each class offers unique comfort, from Michelin-starred meals and curated in-cabin aromatherapy in First and Business Class to extra-legroom seats in Premium Economy and comfortable Economy seating.

Passengers on JX flights enjoy a high-end experience with the ability to pre-order meals and comprehensive in-flight entertainment, ensuring a luxurious and enjoyable journey across the Pacific.
