On a recent trip to Disney California Adventure Park, we noticed that some Oogie Boogie Bash and other Halloween decorations had been added to the theme park.
Halloween decoration
Oogie Boogie has taken his usual seasonal spot above “California” at the entrance to Disney California Adventure Park. Bats fly around his outstretched arms. His black and green figure stands in front of a white full moon.
In the park, guests can turn around and see another image of Oogie Boogie. His laughing black silhouette is visible on the yellow back of the full moon.
Oogie Boogie Bash begins on August 25th and runs on select dates through October 31st. Tickets for the event are already sold out. A sneak peek of merchandise for the event was recently released.
The top shelf in Mortimer’s Market has been expanded to include jack-o-lanterns and pumpkins.
There are more jack-o-lanterns on the shelf against another wall inside the concession stand, three of them together in a single box.
While the banners, bats and other Halloween decorations normally seen on Buena Vista Street have not yet been put up, “The Skeleton Dance” displays have already popped up at Elias & Co. and Big Top Toys.
In the image above, a black and white Mickey Mouse is frozen in fear. He is holding a paintbrush above his head.
Mickey sits in front of organ keys in a shop window. Full of fear, he stares at three organ pipes that come to life behind him.
The final image shows Mickey playing the organ while two skeletons dance behind him. This image is based on “The Skeleton Dance,” a 1929 Silly Symphony short film.
Halloween decorations keep popping up at the Disneyland Resort. We previously reported that Halloween Time signs were posted near the Mickey and Friends Tram Plaza at the Disneyland Resort.
