A woman’s sweet gesture towards her neighbors after eating the donuts delivered to her touches them

A woman’s sweet gesture towards her neighbors after eating the donuts delivered to her touches them

In the age of e-commerce and delivery services, it’s not uncommon for packages to get mixed up or end up on a neighbor’s doorstep. While it’s right to return the package to the delivery person or the neighbor who owns it, not everyone can resist good food. Although taking someone’s food away is problematic, one woman solved the problem with her sweet gesture. Becca Barnoski, who goes by @beccabarnoski on TikTok, shared a slideshow describing what happened between her and her neighbor. She begins by sharing the screenshot of the conversation between them, which began when Barnoski texted her neighbor, “There’s a DoorDash from Duck Donuts at my door. Delivered today at 1:07 am. No one came to pick it up. Can it morally be mine?”

They replied, “Yes it can. Lol, eat it. It’s been two hours. Now it’s yours.” The next slide shows a picture of a box of 4 donuts. The text overlay reads, “So, I ate them…” She then adds a picture of two half-eaten donuts before sharing that she came home four hours later and found this note on her door: “Help! Duck Donuts missing – Kush in 204.”

She then shared a screenshot of a message she received from her neighbor, which read, “It’s totally fine! Congratulations on the baby! I’m glad they went to a good home and hope you liked them. They were a surprise from my cousin so we weren’t expecting this – thank you for letting us know and please don’t worry.” She added that the neighbor wasn’t accepting refunds. To make it up to us, Barnoski decided to give them something special. She shared a picture of a card she left on her neighbor’s doorstep. It read, “Hi guys! Congratulations on your wedding! I’m so sorry I ate your donuts! Please enjoy dinner on our dime.”

She used it to attack a meal voucher card for a restaurant called “Texas de Brazil” and signed the card “Zac and Becca (Apt 202).” The caption read, “I couldn’t help but feel guilty because my fat ass can’t resist unattended snacks so I left this on her door.” The video is captioned, “Do you think we’re good? Am I the worst? Yes. Does that make up for it? Maybe?” People were thrilled by Barnoski’s sweet gesture. @ashrose183 commented, “That was so sweet of you and Texas de Brazil is awesome, not mediocre at all.” @user0471657591666499836 wrote, “Not only is Texas de Brazil delicious, but it’s also very expensive. Those people in the comments should be more grateful.”

@livesinleggingss expressed, “People are dramatic, you two were sweet and the GC gift was worth more than the donuts.” @winterknight27 said, “Since when did Texas de Brazil become mediocre?! The place is so good and pretty expensive. You did something amazing! Most people probably wouldn’t have said anything.” @raeraemua commented, “Stop, are you kidding me? To Texas de Brazil! I love this place! I would take Texas de Brazil any day of the week. I’m sure they loved it.” @username.myname.isnot asked, “Didn’t it say the address on it so you could just bring it to their door?” To which she replied, “It didn’t say that! And I don’t know all my neighbors so I didn’t know the name. I 10000% would have brought it if I had known.”
