The light that emanates from &Tradition Pivot point portable lamp is distinctive: a soft, candle-like diffusion of the geometric shade positioned at a 45° angle to the base. Light falls from the off-center shade, casting shadows and gently changing the perceived tone of the base column. Its sculptural cubic form in powder-coated iron and mirror-polished steel – articulated in the two color combinations Blue Silver and Rusty Mint – remains the focal point. “Pivot is a true hybrid product that crosses the line between object and portable light, while entering the world of art and functionality. Each colorway brings a completely different nuance to the aesthetic, while the warm light it emits creates a pleasant atmosphere when placed anywhere,” says Els Van Hoorebeeck, the brand’s creative director. Pivot is intended for indoor use only, but can be taken outside and stored indoors.

The N-TL01 portable table lamp combines Japanese and Scandinavian styles. Designed by Norm Architects for Ambientec in collaboration with Karimoku Case, it features the valuable involvement of several renowned Japanese manufacturers – keepers of a centuries-old tradition. Among them we find Kojima Shoten, a lantern maker based in Kyoto, and Karimoku Furniture, Japan’s leading manufacturer of wooden furniture. The wooden base supports the lampshade, which is made using the traditional Kyo-Jibari technique, which involves stretching and gluing washi paper over a frame made of bamboo or wood, creating a structure that is both strong and delicate. A calm light is diffused throughout the room by the omnidirectional LED light source, which has been developed by Ambientec in a new version to ensure a uniform glow that evenly illuminates the lampshade without exposing its internal components. N-TL01 has a Dimmable to warm Function that allows you to adapt to your daily rhythm. This way, the lamp stays in tune with the daylight and creates a cozy and intimate atmosphere at night.
