“Art for Art’s Sake”, 23–25 August

The Lincoln Arts Festival (LAF) art exhibition has been held since 1995, almost always at a boatyard. For many years, Hodgdon Yacht Services, 100 Ebenecook Road, Southport, has generously provided just the right space for this exhibition, Art For Art’s Sake.

This year’s opening will take place on Friday, August 23rd, from 5pm to 7pm with a reception; on Saturday, August 24th – also known as Interaction Day – the opening hours are from 10am to 6pm and on the last day, Sunday, August 25th, from 10am to 3pm.

This year, 21 artists/craftspeople are participating, all with ties to our region, seven of them for the first time. Most of these artists will be participating in “Art Interaction Day” on Saturday, with ongoing demos and talks between 10am and 4pm. Anyone not participating will be marked with an asterisk in front of their name. Come enjoy the wonderful works of our local talent – and maybe find a gift or two for a special occasion – or just because you find something you can’t resist!
