New story trailer for “Slitterhead” brings action horror to the point (Watch)

Bokeh Game Studio teased its fans a week ago with an image of their upcoming action horror title Slotted head. And now, just before they arrive at Gamescom next week, the developer has released the story trailer, which, although it contains no dialogue, gets the message across: body horror, blood, and plenty of action.

The story takes place in the densely populated streets of Kowlong. Slotted head puts the player in the role of “Hyoki”, a being with no memory and no physical form. His sole motive is to eradicate the monstrous creatures known as “Slitterheads” that have infested the city and disguised themselves as humans.

Roaming the brightly neon-lit cityscape, Hyoki must seek out allies among the humans known as “Rarities,” infiltrate and track down dangerous organizations, and engage in battles using the power of blood. As the story progresses, players will delve deeper into the mystery behind Hyoki’s existence and the emergence of the Slitterheads.

Since Hyoki has no physical form, he can occupy and control human bodies at will, turning the people who wander through the city into his pawns. With this power, he can slip through barriers, assume the identity of certain people, and infiltrate dangerous areas and organizations. By quickly changing hosts, he can also traverse the city at high speeds.

Although his hosts’ bodies are fragile, Hyoki can burn their life force and turn their blood into weapons to confront the Slitterheads. Even when he is seriously wounded, he can continue fighting by switching hosts. By possessing “rarities,” certain people who share a “high synchronization” with Hyoki, he can unleash even more powerful attacks and activate various abilities. The cooperative relationship with these “rarities” is the key to unraveling the ever-deepening mysteries of Kowlong City.

Slotted head will arrive 8 November digitally for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. The game will also be released in North America as a physical PS5 “Day 1 Edition.”
