Kenny Wayne Shepherd has released a new song called “Long Way Down”. It is the third single from Shepherd’s upcoming album, Dirt on my diamonds Vol. 2The album is scheduled to be released on September 20th.
Shepherd took a less-is-more approach. “It’s the least noticeable solo on the record, but that’s precisely why it has a deeper impact,” says Shepherd.
Dirt on my diamonds Vol. 2 was recorded at FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
“The only reason we went to Muscle Shoals was to soak up the atmosphere that has existed in this space for so many decades,” says Kenny.
Shepherd is looking forward to taking the new songs on tour.
“They sounded great in rehearsals and we can’t wait to get out there and play them.”
