Alaska Airlines celebrates new flights between Seattle and Taipei with STARLUX Airlines

SEATTLE, 16 August 2024 /PRNewswire/ — With a focus on luxury in the air, Alaska Airlines’ global partner STARLUX Airlines today launched its first nonstop service between our home base in Seattle And TaipeiThe leading airline will operate the route three times a week with connections to a variety of destinations. As an added convenience for our guests, we offer STARLUX flights from three of our West Coast hubs – Seattle, Los Angeles And San Francisco – To Taipei can be purchased directly from alaskaair.com. We are excited to soon launch a codeshare partnership with STARLUX that will further enhance the seamless flight experience we offer today. When Mileage Plan members purchase their tickets directly from us, they will earn elite qualifying miles on every STARLUX flight. They can also redeem miles for STARLUX flights.

On operating days, the new non-stop bus from Seattle comes early in the morning in Taipeiwhich provides better connections to other flights throughout AsiaThe nonstop flight starts Taipei in the evening for an afternoon arrival in Seattle.

STARLUX launched its first transpacific service between Taipei And Los Angeles In April 2023. Then in December 2023STARLUX began its service between Taipei And San Francisco. Los Angeles, San Francisco And Seattle are gateway airports for Alaskaso that our guests have a convenient connection with STARLUX flights.

STARLUX offers an international gateway through its main hub in Taipei with connections to more than 20 destinations in Asiaincluding Bangkok And Chiang Mai, Thailand; Clark and Cebu, Philippines; Da Nang, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City And Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam; Penang And Singapore, Singapore; Singapore; Macao; Hong Kong and nine destinations in Japan.

The Seattle-Taipei flights will be operated by STARLUX’s next-generation Airbus A350. The aircraft features four cabins – First (4 seats), Business Class (26 seats), Premium Economy (36 seats) and Economy (240 seats) – offering passengers numerous options for the 6,000-plus-mile flight.
