Samsung is giving you a free gift worth £599 when you buy the latest Z Fold6 phone

Samsung last month unveiled its two latest devices, the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, an upgrade to its already leading foldable smartphone range.

The £1,749 starting price of the Z Fold6 has made the snazzy new foldable too expensive for many buyers, but now there’s a new way to save huge on this modern, AI-powered and fast-processing model – £599 to be exact.

Samsung beats Sky Mobile, Amazon and Very and gives away its Freestyle Projector for £0 (yes, that’s right, you don’t pay a penny for it) when you buy its latest device, the Z Fold 6. You’ll have to pay £1,749 to get the £599 movie must-have for free.

The foldable Z Fold 6 (and even the previous model Galaxy Z Fold5) is often referred to as a tablet-like device due to its fold-out 7.6-inch screen. Many users spend hours watching their favorite TV shows and movies on the device’s larger screen, so this free bundle is just right for movie fans.

It’s a rare product from Samsung that’s currently only been available for one day. Since it runs until August 22nd, buyers only have a few days to make the most of the offer. The Freestyle 2nd Gen projector uses what the brand calls “groundbreaking innovation” to offer portable and compact images.

If you have the new Galaxy Z Fold6 device in your pocket, you can take it out, unfold it and sync it with the projector to enjoy entertainment on the big screen.

One of the biggest changes to the Z Fold6 device, as pointed out by fellow editor Christopher Harper, has to be its much lighter feel. Summarising all the UK retailers offering deals on the model, he said: “There are also some significant weight changes, making the Z Fold6 weigh six per cent less.”

“This means it won’t feel as heavy in your pocket. The Galaxy Z Fold6 now features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SOC as well as 12GB of RAM,” you can read our roundup of the best Galaxy Z Fold 6 deals here.

The glut of high-end specs might justify the outrageous price, but compared to newer rivals like the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold, cheaper options might seem more suitable for buyers. Getting the £599 Freestyle projector free with the purchase of the £1,749 Z Fold6 might make it seem like you’ve brought the price down to a more reasonable £1,150 – whichever way you look at it.

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is just a few hours old, having launched on Tuesday, August 13 alongside three other Pixel handsets, including the standard Pixel 9 and the Pixel 9 Pro XL. It’s £100 cheaper than the Galaxy Z Fold6, has more rounded edges and exactly the same 6.3-inch OLED display, but beats Samsung in terms of screen quality.

The rival foldable Google device is now available to pre-order from UK retailers including Vodafone.
