ATLANTA, 15 August 2024 /PRNewswire/ – IHG Hotels & Resorts returns to the US Open Tennis Championships for the sixth year as Official Hotel Partner and Loyalty Program, bringing to life a long-standing cultural debate surrounding the sport: Is a tennis ball green or yellow?

For years, people have been arguing on the internet about the color of a tennis ball. Even the GOATs themselves have weighed in with differing opinions. The question that Americans still ask is, is a tennis ball green or yellow?

When IHG Hotels & Resorts asked tennis fans for their opinion, it found that Americans are divided in their opinions. 56 percent of Americans believe that a tennis ball is yellow, while 44% are convinced it’s green.* IHG is embracing this light-hearted debate by launching an extravagant tennis ball-themed suite that does justice to both sides of the court: the IHG Rally Room.

This exclusive suite, available at the Kimpton Hotel Eventi in New York City and the Hotel Indigo Atlanta Downtown is split down the middle by the center line of a tennis court, with one half featuring bright green decor and the other half displaying striking yellow accents. The nation may be divided over the color of a tennis ball, but at IHG, guests are offered true hospitality no matter which side they’re on.
