First Mailing, a UK direct mail provider, has announced the expansion of its paper wrapping capabilities by installing a third paper wrapping machine. The machine is scheduled to go into operation this month, in time for the busy Christmas period, with work starting in September.

According to First Mailing, this investment underscores the company’s commitment to improving its service and meeting the evolving needs of its customers. The new machine is equipped with a camera matching system that ensures accuracy and quality in every package packed, the company added.

“Our third paper packaging line represents a significant increase in capacity and will enable us to process more orders more efficiently and accurately,” said Stuart Searle, Managing Director of First Mailing. “By integrating a camera matching system, we will be able to offer our customers an even more reliable and higher quality service.”

Like its existing lines, First Mailing said, the new machine will be able to handle heavy kraft paper, which is popular with customers for its durability and environmental friendliness. The company also said it is conducting trials with wider roll paper to enable it to pack larger parcels and expand the range of services it offers to customers.

“This expansion is a direct response to our customers’ growing demand for more versatile and efficient paper packaging solutions,” continued Stuart Searle. “Because we can now pack larger parcels, we can cover a wider range of shipping requirements, offering our customers greater flexibility and convenience.”
