Simone Biles is not only America’s sweetheart, but also her family’s treasure. Who can blame her if she is the most successful gymnast in history?
The 27-year-old revealed in a Threads post Last week, her parents even told her they were buying her a Hermès bag to celebrate her great success at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, which ended over the weekend.
“Don’t be mad at me, be mad at your parents,” she joked in the social media post.
Simone won an incredible four gold medals at the Games, plus a silver medal for good measure. So it was no wonder that her parents wanted to congratulate her with this wonderful gift.
The gymnast shared her shopping spree with her fans on Friday, posting photos of cream and tan Birkin bags and an orange gift box that contained her very own Birkin. The famous bag can cost between $12,000 and $200,000, depending on its rarity.
Simone spoke openly about how her parents Ronald and Nellie turned her life upside down when they adopted her and her sister Adria.
© Jean CatuffeRonald and Nellie are actually Simone’s grandparents. Unfortunately, Simone’s mother struggled with addiction and after witnessing her daughter’s decline, they adopted her grandchildren.
“Being separated from my biological mother and placed in foster care before being officially adopted by my grandparents opened up a better path for me in life,” she explained in her Facebook series. Simone against herself.
“I feel like I wouldn’t be where I am now if that turning point hadn’t happened. I would still be Simone Biles, (but) probably not the Simone Biles that everyone knows, that the world knows.”

Simone returned to her sport after surprisingly withdrawing from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, revealing that her deteriorating mental health was causing her to experience performance anxiety. Unfortunately, her parents, who had never missed a competition, were unable to attend the Games this year due to Covid-19 restrictions.

With her parents sitting in the stands this year, Simone was an absolute must at the Games this year. Ahead of her competitions, Nellie spoke to Today about being there for her daughter.
