NEW LENOX, IL — With just a few summer vacations left before students head back to school this month, back-to-school planning has already begun in Lincoln-Way District 210. Calendars are available to help parents prepare their children for a smooth transition into the 2024-2025 school year.
The first day of school for all classes is August 21st.
Some dates may change during the upcoming school year. We also recommend that you check the Lincoln-Way District 210 school calendar and your student’s school calendar for conferences, open houses, meetings, exams, early school closures, athletics and other school events.
Here are some important dates for the 24-25 school year:
- 20 August: first day of school
- 2 September: no school, Labor Day
- 4 September: early release
- 18 September: early release
- October 2: early release
- October 11: Institute day, no classes
- October 14: Columbus Day, no school
- 4 November: early release
- 5 November: Election day, no school
- 26 November: early release
- 27-29 November: Thanksgiving holidays, no school
- December 4th: early release
- December 20: The winter break begins at the end of the day
- December 23 – January 3: Winter holidays, no classes
- 6 JanuaryInstitute day, no classes
- 7 January: Students return from break
- 20 January Martin Luther King Day, no classes
- January 29: early release
- February 12: early release
- February 17: Presidents Day, no school
- March 13: early release
- March 14: Institute day, no classes
- March 28: School ends early, spring break begins at the end of the day
- March 31 – April 4: Spring break, no school
- 7 April: Students return from break
- 18 April: no school
- May 26: Memorial Day, no school
- May 30: last day of school
Graduation ceremonies for all three high schools – Lincoln-Way Central, Lincoln-Way West and Lincoln-Way East – will take place on May 17.
