A big year for A24 just gets bigger as the studio has unveiled a trailer for another highly anticipated project. A24’s official YouTube page has released the second trailer for The front roomthe upcoming horror thriller with Brandy Norwood And Andrew Burnap. The trailer shows Norwood’s Belinda facing off against her evil mother-in-law in what could be A24’s scariest film of the year. Alongside Norwood and Burnap The front room also stars Kathryn Hunter as Solange and Neal Huff like Pastor Lewis, with others like David Manis, Mary Catherine WrightAnd Ellen J. Maddow Complete the rest of the task sheet as an extra or in supporting roles.
The front room comes from directors Max And Sam Eggerswho also wrote the screenplay, which is adapted by Susan HillShort story. Max and Sam Eggers are half-brothers of the famous Robert Eggerswho is best known as a director The Northman, The lighthouseAnd The Witch. Max worked with his half-brother and wrote The lighthouseand Sam’s only other credit as an author came Olympics (2018) next to Harry MavromichalisThis is Sam and Max’s directorial debut, and if they succeed in following in their brother’s footsteps, they too will have a long and successful career as directors.
What else did A24 release this year?
It has already been a big year for A24, with major releases such as Civil War And I saw the TV light up The studio already has a lot under its belt, with the former grossing more than $122 million at the box office worldwide and the latter aiming for a September 20 premiere on the streaming platform Max after grossing just $5 million on a $10 million budget.
The studio is also fresh from MaXXXinethe third and final part in Ti West‘s horror trilogy, and also has Singing Singing with nomination for the Film and Television Oscar Colman Domingo is now playing in selected cinemas. Coming soon on A24 is the highly anticipated We live in time with Florence Pugh And Andrew Garfieldwith Winter Soldier star Sebastian Stan will also play the lead role in the A24 film Another manin which the main roles also play Adam Pearson and is expected in cinemas on September 20th.
