WiscoBoxes creates gift boxes for fans of Badger State products

WiscoBoxes creates gift boxes for fans of Badger State products

As Sarah Botham watched her husband’s vineyard flourish, she became inspired. Having long admired Peter’s dedication to his craft, she wondered how many other artisan products like his were out there, just waiting to be discovered. One Saturday morning, she walked into the kitchen and shared her new idea with her husband.

This is how WiscoBoxes was born. Founded by Sarah Botham in March 2017, the carefully curated ranges are full of unique and locally sourced products.

“Everything that goes into our boxes is the product of vision and passion. And the inspiration for that started with the passion, dedication and craftsmanship my husband put into his product,” said Botham.

Initially she toyed with the idea of a gift basket, but knew that shipping and handling would present significant difficulties. Botham ultimately settled on a sturdy box; something that would withstand shipping and ensure safe delivery to customers. Elegantly assembled, the box is itself a gift; the careful packaging is meant to be kept and reused for future occasions.

Various boxes on offer, all products come from the region

Each box is unique and all change according to the season. There are “Cocktail Hour” and “Wisco Sampler” and even “Outdoor Adventure” for nature lovers.

The most popular box is “Coffee, Wine and Chocolate.” It contains coffee grounds from Hikers and Colectivo, dark chocolate from Kohler, and gooey sea salt caramels from Gail Ambrosius Chocolatier. And, of course, a bottle of red wine from Botham Vineyards, which is run by Sarah’s husband.

For those up for the challenge, the option to build your own box is very popular and encourages creativity. For a cozy evening at home, you can choose soothing bath salts, a sugar lip scrub and some chocolate-covered espresso beans. Or if you like hosting, choose margarita mix, lime rim sea salt and some roasted red salsa for a fiesta with friends.

Smaller pre-packaged boxes are also available, such as the “Mini Roast”.

Does WiscoBoxes deliver to my location? The answer is yes

Although its headquarters are hidden in the village of Mount Horeb, the company ships all over the world. WiscoBoxes has shipped packages to 22 countries so far. Customers in the region can also pick up their packages in person if they prefer.

Although the holidays are the busiest time, the company has a loyal customer base that keeps them busy all year round. Several companies use WiscoBoxes for corporate gifts such as birthday packages, new customer packages and to welcome new employees on their first day of work.

According to Botham, sending thoughtful packages like these can really make people feel appreciated.

First time in Wisconsin? Travel tips from a local who knows the area

Botham was born and raised in Wisconsin and has a great love for the state. She wants everyone to experience everything Wisconsin has to offer and offers some tips on what to see.

Her travel secret? Avoiding the big cities and instead discovering small towns. They have charm and are idyllic and, in her opinion, offer interesting new opportunities and encounters that you might not otherwise experience.

“I think the small towns really show who and what Wisconsin is all about,” Botham said.

WiscoBoxes was created to celebrate the state’s culture and unique traditions. According to Botham, the intention behind each box is to “capture the spirit of the great Badger State.”
