August 13 (THEWILL) – Austyn Ogannah, editor of THEWILL newspaper and THEWILL DOWNTOWN magazine, is 50 years old.

The media boss celebrated his 50th birthday on Tuesday, August 13, and celebrated the day in a small circle with his family at their seaside residence in Southern California.

However, according to a source close to him, he intends to host a small soirée with his closest friends and family at a later date upon his return to Nigeria to celebrate the milestone in his life.

The modest celebration, the source said, will mark the unveiling of his charitable foundation, which will support children of single mothers in Nigeria who are struggling to send their children to school.

Having been raised by a single mother, Ezinne Roseline Obiajulu, “he has witnessed first-hand how hard it was for his mother to raise five children and he therefore understands the difficulties single mothers have to go through to provide for their charges and enable them to have successful lives.”

“Therefore, the foundation will finance the education of these children and support their mothers by providing them with money for their living expenses wherever possible,” explained a close employee of the publishing house.

Responding to one of the congratulatory messages he received, the Prince of the Royal Family of Onicha-Ugbo Kingdom said he was grateful to God for his mercy and grace towards him and was happy to be able to celebrate this milestone with his wonderful family.

“I will celebrate with you and our close friends in Lagos later when I return with God’s grace,” he wrote in a WhatsApp message to one of his friends seen by THEWILL.
