After debunking the theory that blondes have more fun, Khloé Kardashian is going back to her brunette roots—literally. To ring in her 36th birthday on June 27, Kardashian switched from her recent dark blonde beach look to a cool brown tone. Is it weird to get nostalgic when Khloé goes brunette again?
“Birthday glamour,” Kardashian captioned an Instagram post on June 28. “Tomorrow I’m flooding my timeline with party photos.”
She added: “BTW… I love my brown hair. I never thought I’d say this lol, blonde still has my heart but this brown is giving me that extra something right now.”
Kardashian has been slowly returning to darker hair since her platinum blonde color earlier this year. Most recently, she showed off a “bronde” hair color that marks the transition between the two hair color extremes, apparently in a hair color competition between her sisters Kim and Kylie.
Kardashian hosted a small birthday party that included mostly family — her brother Rob Kardashian, sister Kendall Jenner, mother Kris Jenner and a handful of friends were in attendance. Like any good hostess, at the end of the evening, Kardashian changed out of her sparkly chainmail dress and put on a sweatshirt and leggings to goof around with the family.
Kardashian also treated her guests to a variety of millennial pink cotton face masks with her face on them (we want to snag one of those) and desserts galore from Chef K.
Kardashian clearly shows us that blondes can have fun, but brunettes obviously have a lot of fun.
