Peacemaker Series creator and DC Studios co-head James Gunn revealed some “very slightly different” facts about Peacemaker from Season 2. Previously, lead actor John Cena dealt with DC’s “death grip” on Peacemaker Spoilers for season 2.
Over at Threads, Gunn was asked by a fan in a thread if the Peacemaker in Season 2 is a different Peacemaker than in Season 1to which Gunn replied: “No. A few facts are slightly different, that’s all.” In this context, Gunn revealed when Peacemaker Season 2 begins with the confession: “It essentially picks up where Season 1 left off, with a few minor differences.”

According to a new rumor, Joel Kinnaman will reprise his role from The Suicide Squad in season 2 of Peacemaker.
In addition, Gunn stated in March that Season 1 was not part of the DC Universe canon, and further noted that Season 2 “will take place after the events in Superman.” As for the timing of the season, Gunn shared on Michael Rosenbaum’s podcast: In you“Peacemakerwill be back soon after I Superman. That’s my next thing. I’m going to Peacemaker out of Superman.”

Coming back to Cena, Cena had previously praised Gunn and Peter Safran, co-head of DC Studios, and said he was “very excited” about the new leadership at DC because he “loves James Gunn as a person and Peter Safran as well” and also has “the utmost respect for them as professionals.” Cena continued: “I’ve never seen people so well prepared, so (seriously) taking this and so passionate about it and not afraid to be themselves. What you’re going to see from DC in the future is the heart of James Gunn. He’s not going to leave anything on the table. He’s not going to make a run-of-the-mill movie that says ‘movie’ at the end and then serves it to you.”
“He’s going to take risks, he’s going to be bold, he’s going to do things his way, but you’re going to get an authentic experience of his creative spirit, which I think is brilliant,” he concluded. “Whether the future DC Peacemaker or not, as a fan and friend of James, I am excited about the future of DC.”

In addition to this news, Cena also discussed his future as a peacemaker in the DCU, noting that he hopes people “see more Peacemaker,” and that he “certainly had a hell of a lot of fun doing it,” adding that what Gunn says, he usually does. Coming back to Gunn, Gunn confirmed that Adrian Chase/Vigilante would return “(probably) before Peacemaker Season 2.”
Peacemaker There is currently no release date for season 2.
