Congressman John Joyce (PA-13) will visit Mercy House in Chambersburg on Tuesday, August 20th at 5:00 p.m. This visit highlights the impact of community-based health initiatives in Franklin County.

During his visit, Congressman Joyce will tour the facility, meet patients and their families, and greet staff.

Opening its doors in November 2023, Mercy House was transformed from a real estate office building into a 10-bed nursing home for patients with life-threatening illnesses who are nearing the end of their lives. The renovation and opening were made possible by generous private and community support from individuals and businesses.

“We are excited to welcome Congresswoman Joyce and showcase how this vital resource was created through community efforts,” said Ashley Winters, Executive Director of Mercy House. “In less than a year, we have made a significant impact on families in Franklin County and the surrounding communities.”
