Chelsea Green wants her husband Matt Cardona to return to WWE.
The former WWE Intercontinental Champion was released by the company in 2020 after spending 15 years with WWE. After a brief stint with AEW, he became a major star on the indie circuit, reinventing himself as the “Death Match King” and “King of the Indies.” He has recently worked with GCW and TNA.
This was his most successful period to date and Chelsea Green was by his side the whole time until her return to WWE last year. It’s clear that she missed working with the former NWA World Heavyweight Champion and wants to work with him again soon.

“I mean, I definitely want him in WWE,” Chelsea Green said. “We’ve had the craziest two years. I’ve been on the road so much, so busy, and he’s been busier than ever. We don’t even see each other as much, which is also crazy. But at the end of the day, I know where his heart is, and his heart is with WWE.”
“He always wanted to be a WWE Superstar, he didn’t want to be anything else. He didn’t grow up wanting to be an independent wrestler, he didn’t grow up wanting to do any other job. He grew up wanting to be a WWE Superstar. He wanted to be Macho Man (Randy Savage), he wanted to be Hulk (Hogan), he wanted to be Booker T.”
