LOT Polish Airlines will launch direct flights to Tenerife and connect Central Europe with the Canary Islands with three weekly flights from November 2024.

LOT Polish Airlines, a member of Star Alliance, aims to increase its attractiveness to Indian tourists by adding the Canary Islands to its extensive route network. From November 27, 2024, the Polish national carrier will start flights to Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands. Tenerife is located almost 300 kilometers from the West African coast and is often called the “Island of Eternal Spring” due to its consistently mild weather.

Starting this winter, LOT Polish Airlines will operate flights to Tenerife’s Reina Sofía Airport in the south of the island. The service will operate three times a week – Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays – using modern Boeing 737 MAX8 aircraft. The six-hour flight will depart from Warsaw at 7:50 a.m., with return flights departing from Tenerife at 1:55 p.m. local time.

“After Athens, Lisbon, Larnaca, Lyon and numerous other cities, Tenerife is another new and extremely attractive destination in Europe that we will soon be flying to.” says Amit Ray, Director India, DACH markets and Italy and Head of Global Corporate and Strategic Sales at LOT Polish Airlines“Tenerife is a great and unique addition for holidaymakers on a European tour.”

Tenerife, an island formed by volcanic activity, offers beaches with sand ranging from golden to black. Visitors to the island should not miss the Pico del Teide, Spain’s highest mountain at over 3,700 meters, or the stunning cliffs of Los Gigantes. Tenerife also boasts the oldest and largest dragon tree in the world. Wine lovers will definitely enjoy exploring the island’s vineyards.

LOT Polish Airlinesfounded in 1929, is the 12th oldest airline in the world and a prominent symbol of Poland on the international stage. As a modern airline, it connects Central and Eastern Europe with the world and offers direct long-haul flights to the USA, Canada, China, Japan, South Korea and India.
